Dear Church Family, It has been almost a year since we have gathered for a Bible study. Lent, which is soon upon us, might be a good time to engage again. I’m thinking of leading a three or four week study on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons in Miner Hall. I’d love to get your feedback in person or by e-mail about that idea. I’d like to know as well topics or books of the Bible you’d be interested in exploring. While we’re soliciting input, this might be a good time as well to ask for hymn ideas. I generally try to pick hymns that match the service theme. But are there favorites we haven’t sung for a while? Give me a list and over time I’ll try to incorporate them. We continue to focus on the lectionary readings from Luke. The texts this week are Genesis 45:3-11,15 and Luke 6:27-38. The sermon is a quote from the text: “If you love only those who love you, what credit is that to you.” See you in church. Peace and Joy, Rich
