Dear Church Family, We’re back! Although travel was a little rugged (missed connections/canceled flights), we had a great time both at the Preaching and Worship Conference in Denver and with our friends in Estes Park. You’ll undoubtedly hear more about the conference, and our time in the Rockies was invigorating. We had 12 inches of snow last weekend, but did some short hikes, enjoyed the mountain views, watched the elk graze in our friends’ yard (Lynn also spotted one moose!), and enjoyed rich conversation. Our trip was bracketed by two tragic events: the racially motivated massacre in Buffalo, and the school shooting in Uvalde. We are saddened by the heartache of those who lost loved ones and are troubled by our ongoing inability to take even small steps to respond positively to this senseless violence. Our prayer is that it will be different this time. Sunday worship centers around a Memorial Day theme. The sermon is titled “Sacrifices We Make” and the scripture readings are Acts 16:16-34, John 15:12-13; Romans 5:6-11 and Ephesians 5:1-2. See you in church. Peace and Joy, Rich
