Dear Church Family, It has been a busy week with Josh, Liza and the girls staying with us—lots of fun, energy, and excitement, with only minor squabbles. It is such a joy to see their developing personalities—Christie, 8, who enjoys the quiet of home, doing artwork and crafts; Emme, full of determination and spice ( “I’m 4 year old, I can do anything,” was a quote this week); and Genevieve, a sweet 1 year old who doesn’t miss a trick. Lynn is wonderful with them, a grandmother who is fun yet firm (in the spirit of any self-respecting former teacher). I can only imagine how they will develop in the years ahead. We used to remind ourselves that in trying to treat our two children equally, we did not treat them identically, but rather uniquely, reflecting their God given individual personalities. We stand in awe of the incredible job as parents Josh and Liza are doing in this very lively household and continue to hold them in prayer daily for God’s guidance. Worship this week continues lessons from Luke. The texts are Deuteronomy 30:15-20 and Luke 12:13-21. The sermon is “Getting Priorities Straight.” See you in church. Peace and Joy, Rich
