Dear Church family, Snow has a way of disrupting our normal schedule. Although it made sense, I always hate to cancel worship and I missed being together last Sunday. It is such an important part to the rhythm of my week. But still, Sunday’s snow day turned out to be a good day. I listened to an online worship service that I regularly tuned into during the Covid shut down. We took a walk with Happy in the snow, which she loved, and a ride in our Jeep and wound up having lunch at a favorite restaurant. We watched football while we dismantled the Christmas decorations. A good day. And I already have the service ready for next Sunday, since we’ll be using last week’s theme and materials! The focus will be on baptism and its ongoing significance in the life of the believer. We’ll distribute the “star gifts”I mentioned in last week’s Good Word which will provide an opportunity for spiritual reflection. We will be celebrating communion. Don’t forget that the annual meeting of the congregation will be Sunday, January 21, immediately following worship. Please get any expected reports in to Dick Heinz, the clerk of the church as soon as possible. See you in church. Rich
