Dear Church Family, It is nice seeing Falls Village Congregational Church out in the community. Last Saturday our choir, under the direction of Liz Allyn, joined those of Norfolk and Cornwall to put on a concert for the residents of Geer. The Geer choir also offered several musical selections. The concert ended with a robust rendition of “Let There be Peace on Earth.” There were a lot of enthusiastic singers--and listeners. Last Wednesday I was also at Geer leading their chapel service, as I regularly do in those months with five Wednesdays. It was great fun celebrating special milestone birthdays last Sunday – Sandy Schafer’s 90th and Tracy Atwood’s 80th. Congratulations—and many more This Sunday we’ll be talking about the challenge of “sabbath keeping” in our busy lives. The sermon is “Finding Sacred Time” and the texts are Exodus 20:8-11, Deuteronomy 5:12-15, and Mark 2:23-3:6. Lynn and I will be leaving right after church to head down to TN to see our children and grandchildren. Talk about busy schedules. It was the only time before Easter we could work it out! See you in church Rich
