Lent is the season of the church year when we focus on the cross and its meaning. We often say “Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins.” But how does that work? How does Jesus’ death bring salvation to us?
The Bible doesn’t give us a definitive explanation. But rather it sets out the problem, namely human sin, and then offers several word pictures, from the institution of slavery, from the practice of sacrifice, and from the world of law, to explain how God brings about human redemption.
Join us for this “mini” class as part of your Lenten devotional this year.
